So Long Brazil, Hello Argentina

After we lazed around all week, it was back to the real world of a South American traveler. Which mean that we got on another bus for 23 hours to the border of Brazil and Argentina. Once we got to the long term bus station we got on a bus to the Brazilian border. We got off the bus to get our exit stamp, got on another bus to the Argentinian border, got our entrance stamp, got on another bus to the bus station in Puerto Iguazu, Argentina. Please do check out the photos and see Matt waiting for the bus to Puerto Iguazu. Literally, we waited under a corrugated tin roof on stilts with a wooden sign hung up that said simply: Argentina. Very reassuring.

We finally made it to Puerto Iguazu and checked into the hostel. We paid for two nights and a spot for Whitney who is meeting us tomorrow so that we could ensure we were all in the same room. It's a five person room and hopefully Whitney is ready for a taste of hostel living! We spent the rest of the night and most of the next day waiting for Whitney to arrive, fighting the ATM for pesos, playing cards, booking a trip to the falls for Sunday and getting into it with the hostel people because even though we paid up front, they put three other people in our room, so we had to kick two out so our dear friend Whitney would have a bunk.

Whitney's plane was late so we finally got to head to the airport to pick her up around 5:00 pm on Saturday. She came bearing goodies from the great United States including contacts, deodorant, sour patch kids and peanut butter power bars. We were sort of like kids at Christmas. She had already had quite a travel experience and little did she know, there was so much more to come. Stay tuned, because you finally don't have to read our rambling anymore, that's right, Whitney flew 5,000 miles to see us and we are going to make her work! She's blogging next and she has quite a lot of stories to share.
