Whitney´s Last Stand

Thursday, March 26 & Friday March 27

On Thursday, we spent most of the day in Palermo. We did a little more shopping, walked through a bunch of the parks, went to the Japanese Garden to look at the bonsai´s and peeked through the fence at some sort of horse show.

I am not kidding you when I say that every day we were in BA we walked around for literally 8-10 hours. It made me hungry and tired and gave my leg an ache, but there is SO much to see and do you just can´t help it! We were planning on going to dinner in Palermo but soon realized that no restaurants open for dinner before 8:30 pm so we trucked it back to the microcenter. Whitney insisted we go somewhere to celebrate my birthday (who was I to argue?) and we were all so hungry and tired the California Burrito Company sounded fantastic to everyone. It´s basically Chipotle with a different name but it was pretty delicious in it´s own right. Afterward we had some ice cream and though you might not guess it Argentina has some of the best ice cream in the world because of all of the Italian immigrants that live there. SO good. This is the first time I mentioned it in blogland, but we had it almost every day. Perfect birthday dinner, thanks Whit!

Friday was Whitney´s last day so we had to check out of the hostel and check back in to a different room. Then we walked back to San Telmo to get a few little souvenirs and walked down a couple of our favorite streets again one last time. We had to say goodbye to Whitney were so sad and didn´t know what to do with ourselves when she was gone. Time really flew when she was there and we are so happy she came to see us. Thanks Whitney, we love you. And we will love you even more if you post one more blog!!

More on our last two days and Matt´s ginormous steak next. Sorry this is all coming at you at once, but we are trying to catch up to where we are now, and that my friends, is at the end of the world.
